Fundraiser for the Killer Blues Headstone Project which exists to provide headstones for blues musicians lying in unmarked graves International and legendary blues guitarist Larry McCray, has been thrilling audiences for 25 years. On Nov. 27 he will be thrilling the audience at the Playhouse of White Lake. McCray is a Michigan-based singer, guitarist, bandleader, songwriter, and heir apparent to a lineage that includes personal influences and heroes such as B.B. King, Freddie King, Albert King, all of whom he’s had the chance to meet and play with. Larry McCray will be supported by the Jon Archambault band. Archambault spent ten years as the lead guitarist for Mojo and the Boogiemen who made it to the IBC finals on their first try. http://www.larrymccray.net/home.html The North Grove Killers of the White Lake area are 5 musicians with a passion for putting on one hell of a show. Comprised of RJ Norland (vocals and guitar) Craig Smith (vocals and guitar), Scott Nesbit (guitar), Rich King (bass), and John Smit (drums), the band draws on their differing backgrounds to create a unique and cohesive sound that blends the blues with touches of country, folk, and rock & roll.
